Save the date: online event language barriers for Deaf and Hard-of-hearing newcomers
On 3, 4 and 5 November, a three-day online event will be organized to conclude our Royal Dutch Kentalis project 'Language barriers'. Mark your calendar!
About the project
The aim of the project 'Language barriers' is to improve care for deaf and hard-of-hearing adult newcomers. We also look at the education and needs, and integration of this target group.
Day 1: Wednesday 3 November
(Inter) national speakers will present their research on the well-being and communication skills of deaf and hard-of-hearing newcomers.
Day 2: Thursday 4 November
Interactive work sessions on care, education and integration. Deaf and hard-of-hearing migrants will discuss their experiences.
Day 3: Friday 5 November
The free online Kentalis knowledge modules with manuals for professionals will be presented. Possibility to exchange ideas on follow-up steps.
Who is it for?
This event is for everyone who is interested in the results and the continuation of the project and for all those who participated in the project. You are cordially invited to participate, to think along with us and to share your knowledge and experiences.
