Sign language clubs

Sign language clubs in secondary schools

This week we started a two day kickoff meeting with partners AMUCTA and OSNET in Tabora Tanzania. In 20 inclusive secondary schools sign language clubs will be set up to improve the interaction between hearing and deaf students.

Models will be explained for social activities. All schools receive materials and equipment to start the club. At the end of the project there will be a competition for the most creative and best performing clubs.
Headmasters and teachers from the 20 schools are present. Through this project, which is co-funded by Voice Tanzania hundreds of deaf students will be empowered.
