method for curriculum based teaching of literacy

In our Reading Project we are developing a method for curriculum based teaching of literacy (and specifically reading) to young deaf children in Uganda and Tanzania. In December we trained 4 tutors in Uganda who have been co-training 24 teachers during our first teacher training week in Kampala at the end of January. 

5th Certificate course audiology

On Monday the 12th of February the Uganda Institute of Allied Health and Management Sciences (UIAHMS) in Kampala Uganda will start their fifth Certificate Course in Audiology. 
We wish the staff and students a lot of success!

DbI youth network

A Mini Conference with workshops and presentations on youth services. This will take place in Zurich, Switserland in June 17-19 2018. The conference is organised by Deafblind International Youth Network organises and TANNE – Swiss Centre of Competence for the Deafblind. A chance to make friends with other Deafblind young people from around the world.

The name Jan van Dijk is inextricably linked to deafblind education in the Netherlands (Sint-Michielsgestel) and throughout the world. He was the first extraordinary professor of Deaf Pedagogy in the Netherlands (1990).
