Teaching deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) migrant children with little or no language and/or educational experience is a challenging task. At Kentalis, over the last five years a growing number of DHH migrant children with a variety of linguistic, cultural and background experiences have enrolled in our schools for deaf education including children with large gaps in their language and/or learning.
The Frontiers paper on the development of Inner language is now free accessible. The area that has the most potential for future research is the study of Inner speech (IS) in children with neurodevelopmental disorders.
